Mother and Daughter Fairy Garden Session, in Darien, NY

Nicole reached out to me when I posted about offering a few sessions while I was visiting family back east. I’d met Nicole several years earlier, when I was substitute teaching. Nicole was a student then; now she’s all grown up and it was my privilege to capture the beautiful bond she has with her sweet baby girl, Paisley.

I showcased their playful side on Nicole’s parents’ property in Darien. We started out eating apples and running around Paisley’s “fairy garden.” After a bit, we took the golf cart through the woods to a large field at the back of the property. I captured the two of them running around in the tall grass and picking wildflowers, all the while Nicole telling Paisley things she did when she was her age. Mother and daughter, alone, together. 

I loved capturing this time in their lives! The bond is so strong, yet every experience feels so fresh and new. As the years go on, Nicole and Paisley will always have theses images to look back on.
