Ashley and Sean’s couple session on Natchez Trace in Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee. 

My husband planned a trip to Nashville for my birthday this year, and I wanted to book a few sessions while we were there. I started following a few  local Facebook groups and posted about some sessions. Ashley reached out to me in minutes and picked up the first open slot! 

From the moment we started texting, I was over the moon about her vision. We spent hours talking about what she was looking for, and then I started looking around on Google Earth to find the best location. Satellite and street view are only so good, however, and it was not until my husband and I went out to Leiper’s Fork for breakfast one morning that we found THE spot - thanks to the locals, that is! Almost everyone in that little town told us about the Natchez Trace and how it is a must-see. People know their home turf, and so we drove up there and sure enough, perfection! A few nights later, I did the session and it was everything Ashley dreamt. We had the best of both worlds: woods and trees, then bridges and roads. We totally made some magic happen up there! Where to next? I don’t know yet, but I love being in new places to explore the possibilities of light, composition, and mood with new friends! And yes, Tennessee - I’ll be back.
