Autumn Styled Mountain Elopement, in Lake George, Colorado

Lake George Styled Mountain Elopement

Capturing the love between two amazing people with the mountains as the backdrop was a must! Colorado had its typical early snowfall in the high country during the month of September, but Carleigh and Ethan took it in stride. We brought a bottle of Jameson to warm them up a little bit between shots. One of the perks of an elopement - the day happens on your terms!

It was breathtaking capturing Carleigh on the rocks, cotton candy sky behind her, moon and mountain framing her in. Good thing she brought her winter boots, because I was able to capture her and Ethan climbing around on the rocks and snow. I decided to shoot their vow exchange from below to allow them a quiet, intimate moment.

Do you have the perfect spot that you would elope to, either just the two of you or maybe with some close friends and family? If not, I can totally help you find the perfect spot using your ideas and preferences. This part of Colorado offers so much variety - prairies sprent with antelope and jackrabbit, sagebrush basins of the high desert, alpine meadows walled by spruce and aspen, gargantuan rock formations, vistas of frozen mountaintops, secluded lake sunsets, deep forest glens… I defy you to find a part of the country with more to choose from within an hour drive. The sky is the limit when it comes to eloping, especially here! What are you waiting for?
